English also has a number of words which occur in groups of three.
Tri-nomials are three words which occur together in a fixed order. (The prefix tri- means three.)
They are like idioms and are fixed phrases which people tend to use in more informal situations.
wine, women and song
cool, calm and collected - relaxed, not worried or stressed
lock, stock and barrel
morning, noon and night - We worded morning, noon and night to complete the project.
ready, willing and able - I'm ready, willing and able to help with the stock take.
signed, sealed and delivered - the deal was signed, sealed and delivered.
